In plain English

What it measures. Delivers near-real-time, ten-day readings of water-quality indicators for many medium and large lakes around the world, continuing from September 2024 onward.

How it's made. Built by ESA Copernicus from the Sentinel-3 OLCI sensor at roughly 300-meter resolution.

How & where you'd use it. Helps environmental agencies and researchers keep an up-to-date watch on lake algae, pollution, and clarity worldwide.
