What it measures. Location-tagged, fully calibrated high-resolution radar power echoes that have been combined to reduce noise, ahead of any height calculation.
How it's made. Derived from the SRAL radar altimeter on ESA Copernicus' Sentinel-3 satellites as a Level-1B product, in a "slow-time-critical" version trading a little delay for better quality.
How & where you'd use it. Serves as an intermediate input feeding the altimetry products that measure sea, lake, and ice surface heights.
