What it measures. The completely unprocessed, raw data stream straight from the satellite, covering five minutes of orbit at a time.

How it's made. The raw Level-0 downlink from the MODIS instrument on the Aqua satellite, delivered quickly for near-real-time use.

How & where you'd use it. The very first building block in the data chain, used to generate all higher-level products. Almost no one uses it directly; it exists so faster, finished products can be made from it.
