clms_lai_global_300m_10daily_v2·dataset
Global leaf density, ongoing 300m (Copernicus)
CLMS LAI Global 300m 10-daily V2
biosphere ESA ESA Copernicus active COGNetCDF
In plain English
What it measures. Measures leaf area index, how much leaf surface is packed above each patch of ground, a good gauge of canopy density and plant vigour.
How it's made. Generated by ESA Copernicus from the PROBA-V and Sentinel-3 OLCI instruments, updated every ten days at roughly 300-metre detail and near real time.
How & where you'd use it. Helps with up-to-date crop and forest monitoring, vegetation-health checks and climate research. Runs from January 2014 to the present.

Official description
Defined as half the total area of green elements of the canopy per unit horizontal ground area. Every 10-days estimates are available in near real time, at global scale, in the spatial resolution of about 300 m from January 2014 to present.
