Raw radar that sees through clouds (ALOS)

ALOS PALSAR Level 1.0 Product
land NASA ASF Level 0
In plain English

What it measures. The earliest, unprocessed radar data from the ALOS satellite's L-band radar, which can see through clouds. As raw Level 1.0 output, it is not yet turned into a viewable image.

How it's made. Collected by the PALSAR radar on Japan's ALOS satellite and delivered at the rawest processing stage, before image formation.

How & where you'd use it. A low-level building-block product mainly for radar specialists who process it themselves; most people use the finished image products derived from it rather than this directly.
